1. Quick English SMS: 

  • Send regular text messages to up to 1,00,000 recipients. (For a single-part SMS, you can send it to up to 100,000 recipients. For a two-part SMS, you can send it to up to 50,000 recipients, and so on.)
  • Schedule messages for specific times.
  • Easily import contacts from your phonebook or copy and paste recipient lists directly into the notepad.

Here is the step-by-step guide to sending a Quick English SMS on Aura:

Step 1: After logging onto Aura, click on “+ New SMS” from the left panel as shown below.

Step 2: Click on “Quick English SMS“.

 The following screen will appear.

Step 3: Select the campaign name under which you intend to send the messages.

Step 4: Select the appropriate sender ID based on the type of SMS you are sending.

Step 5: Enter the contact details of the recipients by typing them into the notepad and separating each contact with the Enter key. 


Alternatively, you can import the recipients’ list from the phonebook by selecting the relevant group name under “Group/s“.

Step 6: The platform automatically refines recipient data by selecting “Remove Duplicate Numbers” and “Remove Invalid Numbers.”

Step 7: Click on “Insert Template” to enter the message content. 

  1. A table will appear where you can start by selecting the template type under “Select Template Type.
  1. Then, choose the “Select Template Filter” (search or dropdown) to find your desired template. 
  1. Select the template from the ” Search Template” box.
  1. Once selected, the template ID and content will auto-fill in the respective sections. 
  1. After entering all details, click on “Select.”
  1. The template content will be displayed under the “Content” section.

Step 8: To include any URLs in your template, click on “Insert URL“.

  1. Select the domain.
  2. Enter the URL you wish to include in the SMS.
  3. Select “Get location” if you want to track the recipients’ location.
  4. Select “Insert URL”

If you want to clear the content, click on “Clear.”

Step 9: In the content box below, you can see the number of characters entered and the number of SMS credits required to send the message.

Step 10: Customize your SMS campaigns with the following options:

  • Allow multi-part: Messages over 160 characters will be split into multiple parts.
  • Send as flash SMS: Appears on the recipient’s screen rather than in the inbox.
  • Schedule SMS: Schedule SMS for future delivery. Click on “Schedule SMS” and select the date and time you want to send the SMS.
    • Split into Multiple Campaigns: To split the campaign according to your needs, click on “Schedule SMS,” then “Split into Multiple Campaigns,” and enter the date, time, and SMS count for each split.
  • Scrub DND: Excludes recipients who have opted for DND mode.
  • Set recurrence: Schedule SMS to be sent on specific days at a particular time.

Step 11: Once you have cross-checked all the details entered, click on “Send”.

Step 12:  After clicking on “Send,” a pop-up box will appear, showing an overview of your message, including the number of invalid numbers, blacklisted numbers, SMS character counts, credits used, DND numbers, and duplicate numbers. 

Once you verify the details, click on “Send Now

You will have now successfully sent the SMS to your recipients.

Here is the step-by-step guide to sending a Dynamic SMS:

Step 1: After logging onto Aura, click on “ + New SMS” from the left panel as shown below.

Step 2: Click on “Dynamic SMS“.

The following screen will appear.

Step 3:  Begin by downloading the sample file from the provided “Download Sample File” option. 


Select the preferred format of the file and click on “Save File”.

Fill in all the necessary data in the respective columns of the Excel sheet.


Once data entry is complete, upload the Excel file onto the platform by selecting “Choose File.”

Step 4: Following the file upload, select the campaign name under which you intend to send the messages.

Step 5: Select the appropriate sender ID based on the type of SMS you are sending.

Step 6:  In the “Select Recipients” section, select the mobile column from the dropdown.

Step 7: After selecting the recipients column, choose the variables from the list of “Available Columns” and move them to the “Selected Columns” in the order of the variables arranged in your template using the arrows next to the variables.

Remove Duplicate Numbers: Automatically selected to eliminate duplicate entries (unselect if not needed).

Var with 30 Characters: Auto-selected to limit variables to 30 characters (unselect if not needed).

Here is a step by step guide to sending a Multiple Dynamic SMS on Aura:

Step 1: After logging onto Aura, click on “ + New SMS” from the left panel as shown below.

Step 2: Click on “ Multiple Dynamic SMS”.

The following screen will appear.

Step 3: Begin by downloading the sample file from the provided “Download Sample File” option. 

Select the preferred format of the file and click on “Save File”.

Reports:

With the Aura platform, you can generate comprehensive reports based on a variety of parameters, including dates, Sender ID, and Campaign details. These reports provide valuable insights into your SMS campaigns, allowing you to analyze data, track the delivery status of your SMSes, and identify any issues.

On Aura, you can generate the following reports:

  1. MIS report – An MIS report for SMS delivery tracks SMS counts by hour and day, offering daily and hourly breakdowns.
  1. Summary report – The summary report displays SMS counts and statuses with percentage breakdowns, along with lists of messages and their associated accounts within a specified date range.
  1. Campaign summary – The campaign summary offers an overview of performance metrics including delivered, submitted, failed, and awaited messages. It also categorizes the types of SMS sent, providing accessible data for quick analysis in the top panel.
  1. Search – The search report allows you to refine your data using various filters, enabling you to obtain detailed information tailored to your specific needs.
  1. Sender ID summary – The Sender ID summary provides an overview of SMSes sent through specific sender IDs. You can access data by entering the sender ID or TUC name, and it displays all sender IDs linked to your TUC within the specified date range.
  2. Clicker data – This report provides detailed information on customers interacting with SMS links, including user IP, browser details, operator, circle, and geographical coordinates. It offers valuable insights into customer behavior and preferences, aiding in targeted marketing strategies and campaign optimizations.

Clicker details – Generate campaign reports with clickable links to view user details by phone number, including User IP, Browser, Operator, Circle, and Latitude/Longitude for locating customer positions. It also displays TUC ID, TUC Name, and Campaign Name for comprehensive campaign tracking and analysis.
  1. Schedule campaigns – Generate reports for scheduled campaigns that include essential details such as TUC ID, TUC Name, Campaign Name, and Template Content. These reports provide comprehensive insights into scheduled campaign activities.
  1. Download data – In the “Download Data” section, access requested reports for download and save them to your device once they are ready.

1. MIS report:

MIS reports are detailed documents used to track, analyze, and manage SMS delivery and performance.

  • Overview of SMS Delivery: They show a grid divided by days and hours, displaying the count of SMSes delivered each hour.
  • Daily and Hourly Breakdown: Rows represent dates, and columns represent hours, making it easy to see when the highest volume of SMSes was sent.
  • Total SMS Sent Per Day: The last column shows the total number of SMSes sent each day.
  • Performance Analysis and Troubleshooting: These reports help analyze campaign performance and troubleshoot issues such as undelivered SMSes or problems with specific Sender IDs.

Here is the step-by-step guide to using the MIS section on Aura:

Step 1: Click on the desired count, such as hourly or daily total.

Step 2: Click “Search” on the following page.

Step 3: View detailed information such as:

  • Sender ID
  • Mobile Number
  • Operator
  • Circle
  • More details shown in the image below.

Here, you can track the number of SMS sent via Web, API, and SMPP. If you need specific details for a particular method like Web, API, or SMPP, you can choose the respective options. 

The status of your SMS will be displayed in colored boxes – Submitted, Delivered, Awaited, or Failed. These boxes will indicate the counts of each status.

Step 4: Refine your data with filters like Mobile, Sender ID, Campaign Name, Template ID, and Limit (to set the number of entries per page) by clicking on Search.

Step 5: Download : Click to download campaign-wise data and select the file format (CSV or XLSX) from the dropdown.

Download All : Click to download complete data and select the file format (CSV or XLSX) from the dropdown.

2. Summary report:

  • View counts and statuses of delivered SMSes with percentage values.
  • See a list of delivered SMSes by each child account within the specified date range.

Step 3: Check the “Status” column for your requested report. If the status is “Pending” or “In progress,” please wait a while.
If the status is “Completed” download the report by clicking the download icon as illustrated below.

API:

  • To send SMS through API, you must generate an API key.
  • The API key serves as the authorization for sending SMS.
  • OneXtel API uses OAuth 2.0 for user authorization and API authentication.

Generating an API key:


Here’s the step-by-step guide to generating an API key on Aura:

Step 1: Click on “API” from the left panel.

Step 2: You’ll find two options: “Show API” and “+ Generate API” 

Step 3: Click on “+ Generate API” to generate the API key. 

Step 4: A pop-up window will appear, prompting you to provide various details. – Start by selecting the “Account type” from the dropdown menu. 

Step 5: Check the box next to “Scrub DND” if you wish to exclude DND numbers when sending SMS via API. 

Step 6: Optionally, enter a Description for the API key for reference purposes.

Step 7: If you do not wish to pass the template ID and entity ID parameter in the API request and you prefer to auto-match the SMS content with the template uploaded on your Aura account, click on  “Match Template”.

Once it’s clicked, write an email to  support@onextel.com enabling this feature from the backend with the username and Api key of your account.

Step 8: Once all details are filled, click on “Submit


Your API key is now successfully generated.

Checking existing APIs:

Here is the step-by-step guide for checking the existing API keys on Aura:

Step 1: Click on “Show API” to check existing API keys.

Step 2: All generated API keys will be displayed on the screen. 

Step 3: If you want to make changes to any API key, click on the edit icon in the “Action” section.

Step 4: To delete any API key, click on the delete icon in the “Action” section.


DLT:

To send SMS through Aura, you need to provide certain regulatory information known as DLT details. These include the Entity ID and Sender IDs, which are essential for ensuring compliance with telecom regulations.

The DLT page within the Aura platform assists in managing and organizing this information, facilitating the mapping of Entity IDs to Sender IDs and allowing for the creation of SMS templates.

Here is the step-by-step guide to entering the DLT details on Aura:

Step 1: Click on “DLT” from the left panel on Aura.

Step 2: In the top bar, you’ll see five options: Entity IDs, Sender IDs, Template, Bulk Upload, and URL.

Entity ID:

To Add Entity ID:

Step 1: Click on “Entity IDs” in the top bar.

Step 2: You’ll find two options: “Show Entity ID” and “+ Add Entity ID

Step 3: Click on “+ Add Entity ID” to add a new Entity ID.

Step 4: A pop-up will appear prompting you to enter information.

Step 5:  Enter your organization’s Entity ID and the Entity Name respective text box and click on “Add”. 

To check existing Entity IDs:

Step 1: Click on “Show Entity ID“.

Step 2: The current Entity ID details will be displayed on the screen.

Step 3:  If you need to edit the Entity ID details, click on the edit icon in the “Action” section and click on “Update” after making the necessary changes.

Step 4: To keep an Entity ID active for sending SMS, ensure the toggle button is enabled. To deactivate an Entity ID, click on the toggle button.

Sender ID:

To Add Sender ID:


Step 1: Click on “Sender IDs” in the top bar.


Step 2: You will see two options: “Show Sender ID” and “+ Add Sender ID”.

Step 3: Click on “+ Add Sender ID” to add a sender ID.


Step 4:  A pop-up will appear prompting you to enter information.

  1. Enter Sender ID
  2. Choose the Entity ID for the sender ID.
  3. Click the box to make this Entity ID the default (if needed).
  4. Click the box if the sender ID is government exempted.
  5. Click on “Add” once all the details are entered.

The sender ID has now been added successfully.

To check existing Sender IDs:

Step 1: Click on “Show Sender ID“.


Step 2: The current sender ID details will appear on the screen.


Step 3: If you need to edit the Entity ID details, click on the edit icon in the “Action” section and click on “Update” after making the necessary changes.


Step 4: To keep an Entity ID active for sending SMS, ensure the toggle button is enabled. To deactivate an Entity ID, click on the toggle button.

Template:


To add a Template:

Step 1: Click on “Template” in the top bar.


Step 2: You will see multiple options like “+ Add Template“, “Delete Selected” and “Delete All


Step 3: Click on “+ Add Template” to add a template.


Step 4: A pop-up will appear prompting you to enter information.


Step 5: Enter all the required information and click on “Add”.

The template has now been created successfully.


To check existing templates on Aura:

Step 1: Click on “Search” on the Templates screen.


Step 2: The current sender ID details will appear on the screen.


Step 3: To download the details of the templates, click on the “Download” button.


Step 4: To delete any template, click on the delete icon in the “Action” section.


Bulk upload:


Step 1: Click on “Bulk Upload” in the top bar.


Step 2: Enter the Entity ID and the operator details under which you want to map the templates.


Step 3: Download the sample file by clicking on “Download Generic Sample File” and choose the file format of your preferred choice.

Select the preferred format of the file and click on “Save File”.

Fill in all the necessary data in the respective columns of the Excel sheet.


Once data entry is complete, upload the Excel file onto the platform by selecting “Choose File.”


Step 4: Once the file is uploaded and the details are updated, click on “Save Templates.”

Step 5: After clicking on “Save Template” a pop-up box will appear showing an overview of the template details uploaded in the file.

The templates have now been successfully added.


Phonebook:

  • Aura’s Phonebook feature stores contact info for individuals or groups.
  • Users can create contact groups and individual entries.
  • Convenient access to contacts when composing SMS.

Here is a step-by-step guide on using the Phonebook feature:

Groups:

Step 1: Navigate to the “Phonebook” option in the left menu.

The following screen appears.

Step 2: To view the existing groups, click on “Show Group” to view the existing groups.

Step 3: Click on the “+ Add group” button to create a new group. 

Step 4: In the pop-up box, enter all the required information and click on “Add”.

Once added, the new group will appear on the screen along with any existing groups. 

Step 5: To edit or delete a contact, use the respective icons under the “Actions” section and confirm your action. 

Additionally, you can view the number of contacts within each group previously created.

Contacts:

Step 1: Navigate to the “Contacts” section located in the top bar. 


Step 2: Select the group name from the “Select Group” dropdown to view contacts under specific groups.
Optionally, enter a mobile number under “Mobile” to view details for that specific number.
Click on “Search” after adding the above filters to refine the data.


Step 3: To edit or delete a contact, use the respective icons under the “Actions” section and confirm your action. 

Step 4: To add a new contact, click on “+ Add contacts” 

Step 5: In the pop-up window, choose between “Add single contact” or “Upload Bulk Contact

Step 6: To add a single contact, select “Add single contact” and enter the required details and click on “Add” to save the contact in the respective group.

Step 7: To upload contacts in bulk, select “Upload Bulk Contact” and download the sample file and enter all the details in the file and upload it back under “Choose File”. Select the group under which you want the contacts to be saved and click on “Add” to save the contacts.

Reseller/Sub-account Module

Aura enables you (A TUC) to create and manage child accounts (child TUCs). This feature allows you to oversee multiple accounts under your main account, providing a streamlined approach to control and monitor SMS activities. You will have several key permissions:

  1. Add/Deduct SMS Credits: Add or deduct SMS credits for child accounts.
  2. View Detailed Reports: Access comprehensive SMS activity reports of child accounts through “Telco Reports“.
  3. Set Notifications: Post important announcements for child accounts to see.

Credits:

Credit indicates the number of SMS you can send. To buy more credits, please contact your account manager. Each SMS uses one credit as per the character limit.

Here is the step-by-step guide to using the Credits section on Aura:

Add/Deduct Credits:

Step 1: Click on “+Update Credit” in the Credits section.

Step 2: A pop-up appears showing various details. At the top, you’ll see the main account’s name and the available credits. This indicates that credits can only be allocated to child account’s within the existing balance of the main account.

Step 4: Choose “Add Credits“.

Step 5: Enter the amount of credits you wish to add under “Credits”.

Step 3: Under Userwise Allocation, enter the name of the TUC for which you want to review credit details under “Select Tenant/TUC” and click on “Search” to view the relevant details.

All Allocation:

Step 1: Navigate to the “All Allocation” section. 

Step 2: Enter the desired date range, select data entries limit per page and click on “Search” to view the credit allocation.

Telco reports:

  • Track child account performance in the “Partner Summary.”
  • Monitor overall account performance in the “TUC Summary.”

Partner Summary:

Step 1: Click on “Telco reports” from the left panel.

Step 2: Navigate to the “Partner Summary” section in the top bar.

Step 3: Enter the desired date range and click on the “Search” button.

TUC Summary:
