Introduction #
OneXtel is a leading CPaaS (Communication Platform as a Service) provider that offers seamless, end-to-end communication solutions. Our product offering includes channels like SMS, Voice, Whatsapp, Chatbot, RCS, and EMail services tailored for businesses of all sizes.
Prerequisites :
1. You should have an active OneXtel Aura account with associated API key(s).
2. Make sure the Entity ID and Sender Id(s) are added in the OneXtel account.
Note: Kindly disable DND scrubbing while creating the API key to ensure complete submission from the connector to Onextel platform.
Recommended :
Add your DLT approved templates in Aura account using the bulk upload option.

Install the Application #
Download and install the OneXtel Application from the Zoho Marketplace.
After installing the application, a callback URL will be generated.
Please share this URL with the OneXtel team so they can configure it to enable receiving DLR updates.
Configure Onextel Account #
- Navigate to the Onextel Account section:
- Look for the option in the top navigation bar.
- If not visible, click on the three dots (more options) to locate it.
- Click Create Onextel Account
- Fill in the required fields:
- Onextel Account Name (Random Name)
- Sender ID
- API Key
- Entity ID
(These values can be found in your OneXtel Account.)
- Click Save to apply the changes.
Manage Templates: #
Templates must be registered and approved on the DLT platform and in the Onextel account before being added to Zoho CRM.
Create an SMS Template
- Go to the SMS Template Module to create a new template.
- Fill in the template details:
- SMS Template Name
- Template ID
- Body.
(These values can be found in your OneXtel Account. Kindly use the approved templates)
- And then “save” the template.
Send SMS #
- Manual SMS Sending:
- Navigate to the Lead, Contact, or Account modules.
- Click the Send Onextel SMS button on the navigation bar to send SMS manually.
- Fill in all the required fields like Phone number, Account, Sender ID, Template, and its value if applicable

- Click the Send button to send an SMS.
- Automated SMS Sending:
- Configure workflows to send SMS automatically:
- Click the settings icon in the nav bar at the top right and select Workflow Rules
- Click the Create Rule Button and you will be redirected to the Workflow configuration page.
- Use the SendOnextelSMS (Onextel) option when setting up workflows
- Once selected configure the template which should trigger
- Click save and then enable the workflow
- Workflows can be triggered based on specific actions related to the Lead, Contact, or Account modules.
View SMS Reports #
- Navigate to the SMS Report Module
- An entry will be logged in the SMS Report Module for tracking and auditing whenever an SMS is sent.
